Heart rate zone calculator
Work out your five training zones from your age and your resting heart rate. If you do not know your maximum rate it is estimated with the Tanaka formula (208 − 0.7 × age); if you do, yours is used. Adding your resting rate applies the heart rate reserve method (Karvonen), which is more accurate.
Z1 recovery (50-60 %), Z2 aerobic (60-70 %), Z3 tempo (70-80 %), Z4 threshold (80-90 %) and Z5 VO2 max (90-100 %). They are the same zones Afterpacer uses to analyse your activities.
Also calculate your pace zones and equivalent times, or try the demo with a real activity.
